Your language, silk cloaks and better lunges

GymScape now speaks your language. This update also brings silk cloaks you can dye, smarter lunge counting, the wizard's tutorial videos and a long list of fixes.

Your language

GymScape now speaks nineteen more languages. It starts in your phone's language, and you can change it any time in Profile.

Silk cloaks

Giant Spiders drop raw silk. Spin 2 raw silk into a silk at the Crafting Bench, then make a silk cloak from 10 silk. A silk cloak gives +2 magic attack and +2 magic defense, and anyone can wear it.

The Witch now drops dyes in six colors: black, yellow, red, blue, green and purple. Dye your silk cloak for +3 magic attack and +3 magic defense.

Content updates are lighter this week while we work on a new skill and the launch of Magic.

Exercises

The wizard now shows every exercise in a short video, with tips on where to put your phone, while the app counts his reps on screen.

• Lunges count at an angle or side-on, and lifting a knee no longer counts.
• Push-ups on the front camera need the full movement. Dipping only your head and chest no longer counts.
• The camera tracks your body properly on Samsung Galaxy A and other Android phones that counted few or no reps.
• Rep sounds keep working after a call or another app interrupts, and your own music keeps playing under the game's sounds.
• Leg Lifts are in the camera setup guide and on the hiscores.

Levels and skills

• Smithing pays more XP for every bar. Gold and mithril ore pay a little less Mining XP.
• Your skill pages and Resource Collection show the XP left to your next level.
• Gathering XP from steps spent while you were away is paid as soon as you come back.

Fights and gear

• Tap any drop before a fight to look at the item.
• A rep you make while an adversary fades out now hits the next one.
• Each shot now uses its arrow 40% of the time.
• A bow or crossbow with no arrows or bolts can no longer attack.
• The Champion's cape is stronger: +4 accuracy and +4 defense for every style, and +2 melee strength.
• Higher-tier cudgels are rarer drops.
• Your loot is kept when a clanmate joins your fight.
• Equipment shows how much faster each gathering tool works.

Steps

• Steps now count toward a personal Steps goal.
• Patched numerous step-counting bugs.

Members

Members can change their name once every 30 days, in Profile.

Fixes

• Every rep reaches your training log, including reps that dealt no damage.
• A crafting quest no longer counts as done when you cancel the job.
• Android: sideways sessions keep End and the counters clear of the system bars, and Back ends the session.
• Your character only holds a gathering tool you can wear.
• Gilded arrows and arrowtips sell for more than iron ones, and the steel cudgel is worth more than the iron one.
• Crafting rows show an arrow when there is more to scroll, with recipes you have never made first.
• The clan leaderboard no longer shows yesterday's reps as today's, and clans rank by total reps.
• Items in the storage chest can be moved below gear you took off.
• Many fixes for small screens and Android system bars, including the membership screen's button.
