Animated gathering, the Evil Ent and new armor
This update brings every gathering spot to life with its own animated scene. There is also a Woodcutting boss you fell by walking, two new armor sets, two new adversaries, and an Item Book that tells you where everything comes from.
Gathering comes alive
Every gathering spot now has its own animated scene. When you start, a short intro takes you there, then the scene plays behind you while you work. Stay at the lightning tree for a while and you will see it struck.

Other players gathering at the same spot show in a row with their name and combat level, and with more than four the row scrolls sideways. Your character holds the tool doing the work, and if it is not the one you are wearing, a "Using" line says which. Stones, sticks and flax are animated straight away. Each of the other scenes downloads the first time you visit it, a few seconds on a good connection, and is kept on your phone after that.
Two new settings on your Profile: turn off the intro clips and go straight to the scene, or turn the gathering animations off altogether to save battery.
The Evil Ent
A new Woodcutting spot at level 30, between oak and walnut. You fell the Evil Ent by walking: every step takes health off it, and at zero it drops ent bark and stands back up. Bring an axe.

Entbark armor
New magic armor made from ent bark: a helm, a body, legs and a shield. You need Magic 30 and Defense 20 to wear it and Crafting 25 to make it. Every bark you use pays 150 Crafting XP.

The Archer's set
A new set for archers: the Archer's coif, hauberk and greaves. You need Ranged 40 and Defense 30 to wear it, and Smithing 30 and Crafting 40 to make it from steel bars, leather and a few gold bars.

The Deer and leg lifts
The Deer is a new level 2 adversary, right after the Chicken on the Fight list. You fight it with sit-ups in The Meadows, and it is free to play. Leg lifts now work in any fight that takes sit-ups, the Fight list names both, and a new tutorial shows how.
The Mad Jester
The Mad Jester is a new level 11 adversary in The Meadows. You fight him with push-ups, and he is free to play. He hits as softly as the Deer but takes a while to bring down. He often drops coins, and very rarely, 1 in 500, a pair of court shoes.

The Item Book
Every item's sheet now says how to get it and what it is used to make. The Item Book lists every item in the game and can be searched. Open it from any skill page or from your Storage Chest.
Arrows and cudgels
Every log now fletches into arrow shafts, and the better the log, the more shafts it makes.

Raiding
Contracts are a little smaller, and more of them name two or three kinds of adversary, so the work is spread across exercises. The Ornate Chest has a rare chance, 1 in 100, of a corrupted helmet. Raid chests pay a quarter of the coins they did.

Balance
- Gilded, mithril and corrupted armor give more Defense.
- Crafting a pendant pays 750 Crafting XP.
- The Corrupted Dwarf drops fewer gold bars.
- Apprentice robes need Magic 5 and wizard's robes Magic 20. They used to need 10 and 25.
Members
Members gear and members materials need an active membership to wear, use or craft. If your membership ends, any members gear you are wearing goes back to your bank. Nothing is lost, and it is all there when you rejoin.
Smaller changes
- Push-ups are a little more forgiving when your hips are not perfectly straight.
- When the camera cannot see you, it says why: not enough light, or your clothes too close to the color of the background.
- Camera messages like Move back now show on top of the adversary.
- On Android, steps you walk between midnight and first opening the app now count, and steps from Health Connect never count twice.
- The weekly recap counts your whole week.
- In group fights, a player who runs out of hitpoints is shown as perished, with a skull.
- Playing on two phones can no longer put your progress back to an older save.
- The equip screen shows the stats each piece actually gives.
- Characters are never stretched to fit a box.
- Guests keep the name they chose.
- Screen Time scrolls on Android.
- On Android, Stop and Claim sit above the navigation buttons on the gathering screen.
- The camera setup buttons fit on small screens.
- The Android app icon is no longer zoomed in.
- The copper ore starting quest always gives its 12 cowhides, and Go raiding has moved near the end of the starting quests.
- Deleting your account from Settings works again.
